In the golden age of the early web (roughly 2006–2008), Flash Player 9 was king. Version 9.0.246 was a particularly notable release, bridging the gap between the simple animation tools of the past and the rise of full-fledged browser games (think Line Rider , Fancy Pants Adventures , and early YouTube video players).
