The show originally ran for three full seasons (called “series” in British terminology) from 1977 to 1979. However, a one-off special titled Mind Your Language: The Final Term (also referred to by some fans as “Season 4, Episode 1” or a “Christmas Special”) aired on December 31, 1986, nearly seven years after the original run ended. This special is often mislabeled as the start of a fourth season by indexing sites and file-sharing platforms.
