The small, shiny disc with the "Instalador" printed on it was gone. Her dad, in his eternal quest to declutter, had probably used it as a coaster. She felt the familiar panic rise. Without the driver, her computer would see the G2010 as a foreign object—a paperweight with blinking lights.

Lena had already plugged the printer in. Big mistake.

For three eternal seconds, nothing happened. Then, the G2010 whirred, the paper feed grabbed a blank sheet, and the head zipped across the page, spitting out perfect, crisp lines of text.
