On September 14, 2022, Microsoft released a cumulative security and quality update for all supported versions of the .NET Framework. This update addresses a remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2022-26929) affecting the .NET Framework’s handling of crafted XAML Browser Applications (XBAPs) and a denial of service vulnerability in WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) serialization.
