I raised my hand. "You sure about that?"

"I'm shutting down the Sixers' indentured program," I said. "And I'm making the OASIS a co-op. No ads. No paywalls. Just the game."

I reached the final room. A lich sat on a throne of skulls. Its riddle: "What can be caught but never thrown?"

She laughed. "You're insane."

"Nice try, Parzival," Sorrento said. "But you're one person. We have the high ground, the numbers, and the patience."

I placed it on the pedestal.

The lich dissolved. On its throne sat the Jade Key, glowing like a green star.
