With Malakar defeated and the Sword of Light in hand, Eryndor and his companions returned to Brindlemark as heroes. The village celebrated their victory, and Eryndor, now known as "The Chosen," had become a legend in his own right. The realm of Everia was forever changed, as the balance between light and darkness had been restored.

As Eryndor's 18th name-day approached, a stranger arrived in Brindlemark. He was an enigmatic figure, clad in worn, dark armor, with a hood that cast a shadow over his face. The stranger introduced himself as Arin, a warrior-monk, sent by the sages to guide Eryndor on his perilous quest.

The villagers, wary of outsiders, were initially hesitant to trust Arin. However, as he demonstrated his exceptional combat skills and revealed his knowledge of the ancient lore, they began to see him as a potential ally. That night, under the light of a full moon, Arin approached Eryndor and revealed his true purpose: to escort him to the fabled Caves of Eldrador, where the Sword of Light lay hidden.
