Elena smiled. “Just one word that matters.” She reached into her bag and handed over an old tablet. On the screen was the PDF, locked and waiting. “This is for you. It has all the important words. But promise me—don’t open the last page.”
“Learn any Swedish?” Grandma asked.
Elena stared at the blinking cursor on her laptop. She had been trying to learn Swedish for three months to surprise her grandmother, who lived in a small cottage outside Uppsala.
